Extension Harnesses for Larger Excavators

SMART Construction Retrofit is a field-installed 3D and 2D machine guidance grade system with a
standard payload monitoring system on size classes of PC88 up to PC490, including legacy machines.

SOMETHING NEW: We now offer extension harnesses to accommodate excavators larger than a PC490
equivalent size class. With this update, we can now support MORE excavators than before!

Here are some additional considerations to note when ordering extension harnesses:
1. Arm AND boom lengths should be measured or confirmed prior to ordering to ensure proper harness
lengths are ordered.
2. 2x separate extension harnesses should be ordered: one for the arm and one for the boom
3. Extension harness is interchangeable between arm and boom – the only difference is length.
4. Additional cable management may be required depending on how much extra harness length is left over once the connection is completed.

Much like Smart Construction Retrofit Kits, the installation of the extension harnesses should be completed by the local distributor and the Smart Construction Retrofit system should be re-calibrated prior to use. Installation and Calibration steps do not change with the use of extension harnesses.
