How to switch to Ntrip Caster (Base station)

Introduction

This article provides a detailed explanation on how to acquire correction information using the Ntrip distribution method.

The antenna location information of base stations and 3DMG construction machine can be used for construction via the Internet.

Procedures and Explanation

1. Select 【"1"the gear mark】 and choose  【"2"GNSS Settings】 from the menu.

2. Select 【"1"GNSS Basic Settings】and  choose【"2"VRS】.

*Basically, it is recommended that all GNSS types be checked.

3. Tap 【"1"Ntrip Settings】 and enter the required information to receive correction information from a distribution service company.

When using Komatsu Ntrip Caster provided by EARTHBRAIN
Server name: Optional (e.g. Komatsu Ntrip)
Server URL: rtcmsv.smartconstruction.com
Port number: 2101
User and Password: Enter the ID and PASS informed by the base station for distribution
*Since the user ID and password are under the control of the customer, the support center will not be able to respond to the user ID and password.

3. Tap 【”2"the update icon】 of the mount point, select the target mount point, and touch the check.
The mount point for 3DMG construction machine is MSM4_RAW.

Supplementation

Reset GNSS
If it takes a long time to connect due to the job site environment, resetting the correction information and re-acquisition of each satellite's orbit will improve the connection.

【"1"Soft Reset】:  Reset the correction information of the satellite in the receiver.
【"2"Hard Reset】:  Reset the correction information of satellites in the receiver and reacquire orbit information of each satellite.
