Issue
The Pilot screen on the tablet displays " ** AWAY FROM BASE STATION".
Answer/Cause
- The distance from the point that delivers the correction information exceeds the value set in the application. This indicates that there is a risk of deterioration in cutting edge accuracy.
- Check the configuration of the base station again.
Explanation/How to deal
-
It is possible to hide the message by increasing the value of the maximum baseline length from Menu > Guidance Settings > Application Settings. After changing, check if the cutting edge accuracy is ensured.
- On the Pilot's menu screen, press the "Machine Guidance."
- Touch the setting button (gear mark).
- Select "Guidance Settings."
- Choose "Application Settings."
- Set the maximum baseline length more longer.
*If the baseline length (distance from the reference point delivering correction information to the construction equipment) is greater than about 10 km, the accuracy of the bucket cutting edge may deteriorate. If the accuracy cannot be guaranteed in the field after the change, please consider the following below.
- The greater the distance from the base station, the greater the risk of reduced cutting edge accuracy. To ensure the accuracy of the cutting edge, consider changing the correction information reception settings.
Example
Change the GNSS setting (mount point).
Change the correction information distribution service company.
Install a fixed station at the jobsite.
