Issue
The range of accuracy that can be ensured with the tilt bucket.
Answer
When using the Tilt Bucket function in Smart Construction 3DMachineGuidance, the normal range of use is limited by the angle of the tilt axis. Please refer to the explanation below.
Explanation
Due to the specifications of the IMU sensor, there is a range where accuracy deteriorates or measurement becomes impossible when the tilt axis angle is close to vertical.
*1: Since the angle cannot be accurately measured when the tilt axis angle is between 80° and 100°, the accuracy of the cutting edge is calculated based on the angle acquired just before entering this range. Therefore, accuracy cannot be ensured.
*2: Please note that low accuracy may be obtained in the tilt axis angle range of 55° to 80° and 100° to 125°.
Supplementation
For example, take the case where the bucket is moving in the soil removal direction so that the tilt axis angle changes from 60° to 90°.
After the tilt axis angle exceeds 80° (i.e., the tilt axis angle is between 80° and 90°), the tilt angle of 80° is maintained and used as the tilt angle in the calculation.
Therefore, if the bucket is tilted after the tilt axis angle exceeds 80°, the tilt operation is not reflected in the application.
