How to set up a restricted area within the jobsite using a geofence (PilotWEB setup)

Introduction

This article provides a detailed explanation on how to set up contact hazard areas and deviation prevention areas (geofences) on the construction site in PilotWEB and share them with 3DMG construction equipment.
By setting up a geofence, the area can be clearly marked　and you can be alerted when approaching an area.
and then the tablet app emits an audible warning to alert the operator of the danger.

The geofence function may not operate properly depending on the environment and conditions of use.
Please do not overconfidently trust the feature and use it only after understanding its function and conditions of use.
Unavailable for 2DMG mdoe,2 Piece Boom and Swing Boom at this moment.

Procedures and Explanation

Pre-setting

1. import design data, etc. to be used for construction in【 "1" project】 in the jobsite information and create 【"2" project data】 in advance.

Activating the geofence mode

1. Select the project and click on the 【"1" gear symbol】 in the upper right corner of the screen.

2. Turn on Geofence in 【"1" Common Settings】, and select check mark after agreeing to the notes on the screen, then 【"2" Geofence Menu】 will be added.

Creating geofence data

1. select the tab 【"1 "Geofence】, and click on the 【3 "Create New Button】.

2. Select the project you created and the imported data layer, and the design data will appear on the screen.

If plan data is included in the imported data, click on the 【"2" line work icon】to display the overlapping plan view.

3. After selecting the alert name, project, and data layer, click on the 【"1" point icon】, select the【"2" geofence type】, then choose the color, transparency ON/OFF, and geofence enable/disable, and draw on the area.
Drawing: Double-click to combine with the starting drawing point.
Here is how to create a polyline as a reference
Type 【"3"】: 2D and 3D
Only 2D can be used as a trigger for approaching warning area and deviation from area warning.

4. After drawing, enter the elevation value (in meters) where the alert will be placed. For 3D data, enter the height of the fence.

5. The created geofence will appear in the 【"1" geofence list】 and can be 【"2" downloaded from the tablet side】.
The 3DMG construction equipment linked to the project site will be available for download.

Attention

Polygon geofences cannot be edited in the tablet app.
