If you are experiencing an accuracy issue and are unsure whether the cause is related to machine calibration, bucket calibration, or the project file (localization/projection), the 2D/3D Accuracy Check can help identify the root cause.
Accessing 2D/3D Accuracy Check
From the main menu, navigate to:
Menu → Machine Calibration Settings → 2D/3D Accuracy Check

Understanding the Values
The machine can be placed in any posture during the check. The displayed values will change according to the machine's position and orientation.
All displayed values are calculated from IMU sensor readings combined with the current machine calibration and bucket calibration parameters.
Stability Check
When the machine is stationary and there is no movement of the work equipment:
- The displayed values should remain relatively stable.
- Small fluctuations are normal.
- If the N, E, Z values or angle readings change significantly while the machine is stationary, this may indicate:
- Work equipment drift
Abnormal IMU sensor readings

Verifying Accuracy
- Use a tape measure to manually measure Value E and Value D.
Compare the measured values with the values displayed on the tablet screen.

Tolerance
- A difference greater than:
- 0.05 ft (approximately 1.52 cm)
Should be considered outside the acceptable tolerance.
Possible ResultsA) E and D Both Outside Tolerance
- Condition
- Difference between displayed and measured E is greater than 0.05 ft (1.52 cm)
- Difference between displayed and measured D is greater than 0.05 ft (1.52 cm)
- Possible Causes
- ✖ Machine calibration issue
- ✖ Bucket calibration issue
- △ Project file / localization / projection issue
B) E Within Tolerance, D Outside Tolerance
- Condition
- Difference between displayed and measured E is less than 0.05 ft (1.52 cm)
- Difference between displayed and measured D is greater than 0.05 ft (1.52 cm)
- Possible Causes
- ✔ Machine calibration is good
- ✖ Bucket calibration issue
- △ Project file / localization / projection issue
C) E and D Both Within Tolerance
- Condition
- Difference between displayed and measured E is less than 0.05 ft (1.52 cm)
- Difference between displayed and measured D is less than 0.05 ft (1.52 cm)
- Possible Causes
- ✔ Machine calibration is good
- ✔ Bucket calibration is good
- ✖ Project file / localization / projection issue
- In this case, the accuracy issue is likely related to the project configuration, localization settings, or coordinate projection rather than machine or bucket calibration.
