Introduction
This article provides a detailed explanation on how to calibrate the buckets used in 3DMG.
When using 3DMG, the bucket of the machine to be used must be calibrated in advance to manage the data.
Procedures and Explanation
Purpose of creating a new bucket
To measure the shape of the bucket and convert it into data.
The use of instruments to assist in measurement makes it possible to accurately determine the shape of the bucket.
Example: Equipment for calibration
1. Select 【"1"the bucket】 icon to move to the 【"2"Bucket Configuration】 screen.
2. Choose a type of bucket similar to the one you want to create and tap the check mark.
*Tilt bucket: Turn on in the application settings in advance when you use it.
3. Measure the points required for 3DMG guidance.
1) Attach a jig to the center of the link of the bucket and prepare to measure the points of each bucket.
2) Align the thread and bucket in parallel as shown in the image below, using a downward swing from the center of the link.
After alignment, measure the length of "C".
3) Using the thread again, locate the position of "b" with a marker, and measure the length "B" from the link to "b".
The position from the cutting edge to "b" is the bottom of the bucket (purple line) used for guidance.
4) Calculate the angle of X using an angle meter in line with the point positioned with the marker, and subtract X from 90° to calculate the "angle of b.
5) Attach the jig to the center of both links, measure the length of "A", measure the angle of "X" with the angle meter, and add it to 90° to calculate the angle of "a".
6) Measure the bucket width of "D".
This is the basis of the range for checking the cutting edge in the guidance and obtaining the construction history.
Measure the length of the attached tooth and enter it in "E".
7) 【”1"Name the bucket】 and tap 【"2"the "→" button】 to move to the bucket weight settings.
We recommend that you add a control number to the bucket and manage it by including the control number in the bucket name.
8)Set 【”1"the weight of the bucket】 to be used in the payload meter and tap the 【”2"check mark】.
Select a bucket type similar to the one in use from the selection, touch the yellow check mark, confirm that the value is reflected, and tap the white check mark to complete the setting.
*If the bucket type in use is not in the list, you can edit by tapping the value reflected after selecting the nearest type.
Supplementation
When using a coupler
If a coupler is used, it is necessary to measure the bucket including the coupler.
Enter the weight of the coupler and the distance "A" between the pins of the coupler.
Cautions for Replacing the Tooth Length
When replacing the tooth length, if the tooth length is longer than the previously used one, the bucket needs to be calibrated again.
Example: If the original tooth length is 0.25 m and the new tooth length is longer, the accuracy will be affected.
When using a slope bucket
It is recommended to set the tooth length based on the welding point.
